Project Manager

Location: San Antonio, Texas

The Datum Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for managing the Air Force Learning Services Ecosystem (AFLSE) program. The BA will work with project managers, software development managers, software developers, Quality Assurance (QA), and external clients. The BA will ensure that project acceptance criteria and requirements are clearly defined for the AFLSE functional capabilities to include Learner Management (LM), Business Reporting Intelligence and Analysis Tool (BRIAT), Total Force Training Record (TFTR), and Adobe Connect services at the end of this contract.



  • Participate in client discussions about their requirements and translate them into system configurations
  • Complete system configurations on time, accurately and to specification
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications
  • Develop root cause analysis and business case for proposed solutions and process improvements
  • Provide intermediate to complex analysis, supporting the planning and implementation of systems and upgrades, and process changes.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and deliver training to customers and peers that cover new or upgraded applications and processes
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of business analytics and decision support solutions
  • Analyze discrepancies and system failures
  • Participate in Scrum meetings
  • Document requirements and acceptance criteria for system changes and enhancements
  • Test new releases of software to ensure they meet the documented requirements
  • Maintain proficient understanding of business processes, supporting applications, and strategic direction
  • Collaborate and exchange information with employees and customers to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified
  • Provide software systems business requirement analysis
  • Assist with creating system design documents
  • Creating functional specification documents



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or other IT related field
  • 2 or more years’ experience as a software business analyst


  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Department of Defense rule, regulation and policies (preferred)
  • Expert analytical, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Word)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a government led MultiFunctional Team (MFT)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
