Requirements Manager

Datum’s Government Solutions team is currently looking to hire an experienced Requirements Manager to illicit, gather, record, maintain, and track business functional requirements and technical requirements for the Air Force Learning Services Ecosystem (AFLSE) program throughout the program’s lifecycle. Provide technical analysis and requirements management expertise for a baseline configuration and changes over the life of the AFLSE program. The Requirements Manager will develop and maintain a requirements management plan and implement requirements management practices across the AFLSE program and work with a development team, product owners, and other stakeholders to elicit, gather, record, maintain, and track business functional requirements and technical requirements for the program.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have an assertive yet professional demeanor, a high technical and administrative aptitude, be detail oriented, and possess strong multitasking skills.


  • Develop, gather, record, maintain, and track business information technology functional requirements and technical customer and product requirements
  • Analyze and validate requirements
  • Understand, obtain commitment to, manage changes to, maintain traceability of, and align project work to requirements
  • Create and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
  • Using traceability information, perform and document change impact analyses, coverage analysis, reuse product analyses, and test optimization
  • Work with Scrum Masters, Release Managers, and Product Owners to allocate requirements and backlog to development work streams and software releases
  • Use DevOps software tools to manage and trace requirements
  • Provide inputs to project plans and status reports
  • Assist clients in achieving strategic objectives through data solution implementation
  • Translating business requirements into technical details relevant to the AFLSE


  • DoD or other U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or other IT related field
  • 5+ years of requirements project management experience
  • Experience with one or more requirements management software tools such as Azure DevOps or other
  • Experience as a Product Owner responsible to organizational stakeholders is preferred. This includes responsibility for communicating the definition of and announcing releases; delivery and team status; sharing project progress and risks, impediments, dependencies, and assumptions is preferred
  • Proven experience working in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its underlying processes
  • Proven experience working on projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated analytical selfstarter who thinks fast on their feet
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with Department of Defense rules, regulation and policies is preferred
  • Expert analytical, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Word)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a government led MultiFunctional Team (MFT)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines
