Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years recent Scrum Master experience
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
  • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
  • Technical Degree or related work experience and industry recognized certification in Scrum or Scaled Agile
  • Significant experience in an Information Technology / Software Development organization
  • Significant experience with Agile development processes
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience doing release planning and milestone planning (based on the velocity).
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM)
Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Agile Scrum Master is responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum ceremonies and Agile best practices. The Scrum Master drives value by helping the Team and Product Owner prioritize the most important and impactful interactions first.

The Agile Scrum Master guides the Team and the organization how to most effectively use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Scrum Masters also play a pivotal role guiding the Team to be more self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.

They will also work to remove the impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by building strong relationships with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are clearly understood by the Team
  • Coach effective Product Backlog management techniques for the Team and Product Owner to maximize value
  • Help the Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
  • Assist the product organization refine the user stories to maximize value
  • Coach the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Help the Development Team to create high-value products.
  • Remove impediments to the Development Team’s progress.
  • Facilitate ceremonies and team meetings.
  • Introduce best practices that improve Team productivity
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
